Should not intelligent, reasonable men of good will be able to agree on all things that matter?

"There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to
  one who is striking at the root."
- Henry David Thoreau

"Science without religion is lame, religion
without science is blind."
- Albert Einstein

Theological Impertinence
Updated: 01/12/2021

For those who have NOT:

  1. Shut out the noise of the world through prolonged isolation and contemplation;
  2. Internalized authority;
  3. Taken the inward journey to acquaint themselves with the darkest corners of their own soul, their own neuroses and psychoses, their own wounds;
  4. Taken the inward journey to know themselves, to discover–totally free from "shoulds" and "should nots"–their deepest and truest desires;
  5. Accepted themselves as they are;
  6. Made the total commitment to intellectual responsibility–honesty, rationality, logic and reason–in seeking the truth;
  7. Emptied their spiritual cistern of religious indoctrination and influence;
  8. Humbled themselves as initially not knowing, but become totally open to the truth;
  9. Learned how to make good judgments through critical thinking;
  10. Identified the ultimate issues and taken their stand regarding them;
  11. Done their own fundamental philosophy;
  12. Committed themselves to being faithful to the scientific method;
  13. Educated themselves in science and its multifarious disciplines;
  14. Acquainted themselves with what other learned men have to say;
  15. Personally researched the truth about what happened to ancient man;
  16. Learned the true origins of the extant religions; and educated themselves in how inauthentic the origins of religious sacred writings really are;
  17. Faced and braced squarely the human condition;
  18. Acquainted themselves with the ancient global catastrophes;
  19. Acquainted themselves with the earth's life form development sequence;
  20. Acquainted themselves with the catastrophic geological history of the earth;
  21. Acquainted themselves with the development of oral language;
  22. Acquainted themselves with the development of the major symbols;
  23. Summoned the courage to challenge, when necessary, every currently held belief;
  24. Addressed and listened to their own internal reference point;
  25. Taken total personal responsibility to build their belief system from ground zero;
  26. Chosen to believe the best within the bounds of being intellectually responsible;

it is the epitome of impertinence and arrogance to promulgate as dogma or doctrine their theological opinion.

If the J-person is your external authority figure, or if your own reason is your internal authority, and especially if both:

How hard can it be to see that these spiritual leader-pretenders in their suits, robes and gowns, dripping with mundane organizational authority, with their ancient mythologies, their rites, sacraments and ceremonies, as false shepherds?

How dare these pretenders confront me and to presume to speak for God?
